Meet the team.

Who’s doing it.

We’re a team of former captains of industry, consultants, marketing wizards, sport celebrities, coaches, and non-profit game-changers with the know-how and no-quit when it comes to fulfilling our purpose and mission.

Roger Guerrero | Founder and Executive Director

Roger Guerrero comes from a family that was literally woven into the softball, baseball, and football community of San Antonio. The Guerrero’s had a sports park that opened in 1977 in southeast San Antonio, by his parents Raul & Ninfa Guerrero. This was the beginning of what has inspired him to become a leader and an integral part of the growth of the San Antonio youth sports community. He was always around sports because of his (5) older siblings. Through the coaching and mentorship of his brothers, he was a natural at playing baseball, football, basketball and later golf.

Roger is a home-grown San Antonian. He played football, baseball, basketball, track, and golf as he attended and graduated from East Central High School (90), served in the U.S. Army (90 – 98 Reserves) and received a B.B.A from Sul Ross State University (99), while playing a couple of seasons of baseball and football. He has worked as a Branch & Corporate Sales Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car (2000-2005), Branch Manager for Labor Ready Inc. (2005-2007), Manager at Money Mart Pawn (2007 – 2009); Sales Manager for Dec-Out Inc and then Owner of Texas Outdoors (2009 – 2013). Roger has since been in the automobile industry, starting in sales and then as a Finance and General Manager (2012 – current) and Owner of N zone Sports Centex (2021 – current).

The common denominator is how at each level of his life he has always managed to meet industry leaders that had a background in youth sports and above. He feels that it is important that every child should have the same opportunity to build the relationships, confidence, leadership, teamwork, honesty, and the pursuit of personal excellence that youth sports create.

His mission is to give opportunities to those who are not given the same chance as others that are more fortunate, to level the “playing field” in youth sports by removing the financial barriers from income-restrictive families.

This is often the cause of preventing kids from participating in sports. We are committed to changing the narrative and giving as many kids as possible the opportunity to “Unplug and Have fun” and to “Get out and Play”.
